INTERVIEW: I Don't Look Up To Anybody Except God - MC Desmond

Mc Master Desmond is a Comedian and MC , he recently spoke to TGtrends on his just concluded Comedy meet music, why he is one of the most sought after Mc and others sundry issues.

Can we meet you sir?

I'm MC Desmond, The CEO MD entertainment. A professional emcee,radio presenter & music producer.

When did you start this Comedy of a thing?

I started entertainment of a thing about 16year ago been a dancer,I converted to emcee about 10years back. But have been a comedian right from my child Hood, Comedy is part of my character as a person.

Tell us more about your educational Background?

I completed my secondary school at Odogbolu Grammar school, Odogbolu, Ogun state, I proceed to study public administration @The polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo state.

You had a show recently, how was it and when should we be expecting another one?

My show Comedy meets Music was indeed a great one and I return all the glory to God because the real aim of the show was accomplished, Presently I'm gathering some materials for my video album which will be out soon together with the video of the show. As for Comedy meets music, it's going to be every year because the management is planning to make it more bigger and standard, It's still one of it's kind in Ondo city because it's still the only live classical music comedy show in Ondo city.

How was growing up like?

Hmmm smiles.....
I grew up with my parents who are not rich nor poor, I grew up been a street boy because of my area and the people I was privileged to move with, But wen I grew up, with the help of the little education I acquired, and my vision I had to change my test, So before, I was addressed as the local type but now my test and vision has become even higher than those who look down on me then.

Who do you look up to?

Nobody else but God Almighty, He has been the one putting all my enemies to shame. Where people let me down only God speaks for me with an uncommon grace

I mean in the entertainment industry

I don't look up to anybody, I believe so much in the talent God gave me. After God na God

Why are you different from other Comedians around?

Hmmm that's a lovely question.....
Others are comedians... But I'm strictly an entertainer, I sing, I dance, I'm also an hype man. I'm a keyboardist, So all I do is anything entertainment not just a comedian

What's your take on the Nigeria Comedy industry?

I just choose emcee as the primary work which sync with comedy. I love Bovi, Kenny black, But I don't want to be like anybody, I want to create my own mind blowing style

To the Single Lady, is master Desmond single?

As for the issue of lady I'm Single

Where was the first time you ever performed as a comedian and how was it?

My first performance was about 10years back @ one hotel in Ondo City, But then, it was just like doing the right thing in a wrong way. But before then, Have been doing standup comedy during my secondary school days... In any of our social gathering

What's your best colour?

White and blue, Reping peace and love

What are the three things you can't do without?

Cant do without music,
I love doing my work
