A daughter sent a sick hoax kidnapping video to her horrified mother claiming she was tied up in a hotel room after being kidnapped. Jessica Johnson, 22, filmed herself on a bed bound and gagged in South Carolina, US. Her mother Christie called police who managed to track her down and find her slumped on the bed and unresponsive.It was now discovered to be a hoax . The 22-year-old is now being held in custody after being charged with making a false police report. Her bail bond was set at $30,000. A new twist has emerged to the agitations in the Niger Delta as the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) militants unveiled the currency they intend to use in their new country when they break away from Nigeria. The avengers said they will stop at nothing until a sovereign state of the Niger Delta is actualized. The militants said, “Much has been done to the region’s ecosystem resulting from the operations of oil companies in the region and that every hue and cry raised so far to draw the government’s attention to their predicament has fallen on deaf ears.” The Niger Delta oil-rich region of Nigeria has been showing its grievances in many ways to the Federal Government and just recently, a new militant group emerged from the region with the sole purpose of disrupting the flow and exploration of oil from the region.

Chibuike Miracle Oramalu, a seven-year-old boy, was on Friday, July 29, 2016, arraigned by the Enugu Police Command before a magistrate court, for alleged murder. Chibuike, a primary two pupil in a nursery and primary school, had on Sunday, May 29, 2016, accidentally fired a gun, which killed 12-year-old Oluebube Boniface. The incident occurred in the Independence Layout area of Enugu. The gun belonged to Mr. Edwin Oforma, who employed Chibuike’s mother as a cleaner and housekeeper in his house. Chibuike accidentally fired the shot after discovering the gun in Oforma’s room while making the bed, as he was instructed by Chukwunanu, Oforma’s son. Following the incident, the boy was initially detained by the police from Monday, May 30 till Wednesday, July 13, when he was released. The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Hakan Cakil, is calling on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to close 17 Turkish schools in Nigeria because they have been linked to terrorism. Muhammadu Buhari is under pressure to shut down Turkish schools in the country The schools are allegedly linked with a terrorist movement believed to have played a major role in the July 15 failed coup in Turkey. The attempted coup resulted in the death of about 300 people in the country. A Nigerian, Patos Oghenevwede was flying a tiny plane on the last day of his training exercise when the landing gear of the aircraft refused to engage. Subsequently, the plane’s front wheel refused to appear when landing at Denton Enterprise Airport in Denton, Texas so Oghenevwede and his instructor had to land the plane with only two wheels.
